The most direct route from London is a flight with British Airways or Tui for 11 hours, or through Lisbon or Amsterdam to Cancún International Airport, with a flight time of approximately 14 hours.
From Miami, there are several daily direct flights to Cancún on American Airlines, with a flight time of around two hours. From New York, direct flights to Cancún take about 4 hours 30 minutes with Delta, American, JetBlue and United. From Los Angeles, direct flights to Cancún take around 4 hours 45 minutes with Aeromexico, Alaska, United and Delta.
Local transportation to the event is convenient, with shuttles, taxis (expensive) and buses available from Cancún International Airport to the Playa del Carmen. It is a 45-minute drive by private shuttle, about an hour in a shared shuttle.
