Cold Water Swimming for Beginners

Hawarden Estate in Wales will hold a cold water swimming class in October

Hawarden Estate will hold a Cold Water Swimming for Beginners on 6 October.

This special session is perfect for both beginners and seasoned cold water swimmers, offering a unique experience each time. Discover the magic of the lake at Hawarden Estate and enjoy the benefits of cold-water therapy.

You’ll be guided through the entire experience, starting with a walk through the beautiful Walled Garden to the lake. Here, you’ll receive tips and techniques from our Wild Swimming expert, Sheena Corry, who will lead you through breath work and mindfulness exercises.

Cold water therapy is known for reducing stress and blood pressure, boosting circulation, detoxifying the body, and improving skin complexion. It also enhances the immune system by invigorating and increasing white blood cell count, helping to fend off end-of-winter illnesses.

After the session, you’ll have the chance to cosy up with blankets, hot water bottles, and warm drinks around a fire. This will be a perfect time to reflect on your cold-water therapy experience.
